My Story

Bernardo G. López is MYCincinnati’s Director. Bernardo is a practicing performer, composer, teaching artist, multi-instrumentalist and clinician. Bernardo has over 10 years of teaching experience and was fortunate enough to work with the CCM prep jazz department, Loveland City Schools, Bootsy Collins Foundation, Xavier University adjunct faculty, and of course MYCincinnati. Bernardo is a musician/recording artist with over 11 years dedicated to the local Cincinnati and national music scene performing on vocals, bass, guitar, piano, drums and saxophone. His involvement with artists, administrators and teachers involves a practice of growing, learning and challenging one another so that we can create better, inclusive and higher-level learning environments for students, thriving spaces for artists, and dynamic evidence-based practices that continue to enrich us as educators and professionals.
